The slot canyons of Page (yes, there are more you can visit besides Antelope) are such a unique landscape. Exploring one is like walking through an underground river of red rock. Have you guys been to one yet?

We were hiking the famous Hooker Valley Track and crossed this suspension bridge over the river along the way. It was swaying back and forth as we crossed it in a storm, which made for an even wilder adventure.

On my New Zealand trip, I packed my gear in @highsierra_usa's new OTC carry-on backpack. I was so relieved I brought this water resistant pack with me so my gear stayed dry even in the pouring rain. #otc #highsierrapartner

Last year, I met a woman on a boat in Florida that had been to all 59 National Parks (a goal I’m working towards). I asked her which was her favorite, and she said Zion. Because it wasn’t just beautiful, it was an all around spiritual experience. Now I finally understand what she meant.

Thank you to @undercanvasofficial for hosting us for the Zion leg of our trip. Their safari tents surrounded by red rock are a gorgeous place to wake up.

If you’ve been following me on here for awhile, you’ve probably seen me say that New Zealand is my favorite country. That’s not just because of the incredible landscapes, but due to the kind and welcoming people.
In the wake of the recent Christchurch shooting, I’ve joined a group of photographers on a charity print shop with all proceeds benefitting the families of victims, and these two images from my recent New Zealand trip are available for purchase. If you’re interested in making a donation as well as getting a print to hang on your wall, the link to the shop is in my bio.
I’ve found in these times of tragedy, it’s easy to feel helpless. But at least this is one small thing that we can do together.

At sunrise, this state park an hour outside of Vegas lights up brighter than a neon sign on the strip. I’ll take these dramatic views in quiet solitude over clubs and casinos any day.

Welcome to Mars. Walking through these otherworldly landscapes really does feel like you’ve stepped onto another planet. They bring be back here time and time again.

Been dreaming of this park and this view for years now. So happy to finally be here.

An early morning along the Oregon Coast. The forecast was looking clear, so we woke up at 4am, drove two and a half hours, and hiked down here in the dark. Eventually, the most insane light appeared and we couldn’t believe our eyes. My favorite sunrise of the year so far, and it’s going to be a tough one to beat.

The landscapes we’ve discovered in middle of nowhere Arizona have absolutely been blowing my mind. So glad I brought my Evo drone from @autelrobotics with me so that I could capture these insane textures from above. Was just here a couple days ago but already can’t stop thinking about returning to this spot. #AutelEvo #AutelPartner

This was the kind of tour where you have to sign a death and dismemberment waiver for them to even consider taking you. To start, we free repelled 37 stories into the Lost World cave. Once you're down there, the only way out is to climb, scramble and swim your way upstream an underground river to the cave entrance miles on the other side, encountering albino eels and countless spiders along the way. When we reached the Impossible Waterfall, named for when spelunkers originally found this cave and had deemed it impassible, I thought it was actually a joke. There's no way a wide eyed tourist like myself hasn't died trying to climb this thing. But adrenaline rushing to the max, almost slipping and falling into the river below, I made it to the other side of the raging falls thanks to sheer determination. And before I knew it, we were sitting in our own cavern glittered with a sky full of glow worms, mesmerized by their blue lights twinkling all around us. When we finally emerged out of the mouth of the cave, seeing sunlight for the first time in seven hours and having reached a new level of physical exhaustion, I knew I had experienced something special. Something rare. Only a handful people have made it all the way through the Lost World, and I was lucky enough to be one of them. An adventure travel experience that fills you with confidence and accomplishment and respect for the planet you live on. That changes you for the better.

I turn 27 today. And although this is the first birthday that my age feels a little old, like I’m supposed to be a “grown-up” now or something, I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to simply be alive. Thankful for another year around the sun. Grateful to experience each days adventure.

There’s nothing like being among the tallest trees in the world to make you feel small. Hands down one of my favorite places on earth.
