Five Feet Apart = (4.2/5)
A lot of people commenting about this movie being like The Fault in Our Stars, I quite did as well and I honestly did not love the trailers but who am I to judge this film having not watched it yet. Five Feet Apart had its heart in the right place that turned out to be a compelling and emotional drama which I completely adore. First of all, I am not a big fan of the Sprouse twins and I cannot see the difference between the two. So this movie had Cole Sprouse and he was brilliant. Haley Lu Richardson on the other hand I thought wasn’t quite a good actress, but she was just outstanding in this film. They just had the chemistry that I did not expect and I enjoyed this movie mainly because of the both of them. This film also solidly worked because of their performances, nothing cringy and just straight forward. I also dug Poe played by Moises Arias as the supporting character, he was funny and thoughtful. Five Feet Apart also gave us the insights into what Cystic Fibrosis is and having shown the authenticity between Richardson and Sprouse made the story pleasantly convincing. Honestly, this movie is better than most Nicholas Sparks films. I was surprised that I had a reaction way different from when I entered the cinema as to when I got out.
