Culinary adventure is probably the best way to describe dinner last night @framehazelpark. It was a special dinner as it featured some of the @beardfoundation Award Great Lakes Region semi-finalists. Our seats were next to the open kitchen and watching the chefs collaborate was really special. The most unique dish was dessert from @lenapatissier @seldenstandard, as it had cumin and turmeric in the meringue and semolina cake, respectively. The attention to detail on dessert was impeccable, as culinary tweezers were used to apply tiny flower petals to each plate. Lamb tongue from @marrow_detroit was the first course and while I tried it, I can confidently say I won’t be eating 👅 again. I very much appreciate the Marrow concept of reducing food waste and using the entire animal, but lamb tongue just isn’t appealing to me.
Drinks from Chicago’s @lostrivertiki were a fun, tropical touch. The Rum River Mystic 🥃 to end the evening was superb. Pics are in reverse order, from last to first. . . .
