This is one of my favourite exercises to work the hamstrings and also to build the glutes. Boys gotta work the peach too 🍑

Strong hamstrings are crucial in maintaining and good squat and building a good even body composition too. This is defintely one to get into your workout but focus on form. So many people are tempted to lean forward, round the back and run the risk of injury. .

Watch the form and the weight and results will come.

🛑Let’s talk about DOMS
Delayed-Onset-Muscle-Soreness
.
📍This normally occurrs within the first 1-2 days AFTER you’ve had a pretty intense workout.🔬The cause of DOMS is the microscopic tears in our muscle fibers, or breakdown of muscle tissue that happen while we work out.
.
📍When you have a case of intense DOMS, you most likely experience a hindered range of motion, lack of coordination, and less ability to absorb shock.
.
📍NOW, it really depends on how severe your soreness is, when it comes to whether you should hit another workout or not. Your muscles need to repair themselves if they are sore. On a microscopic scale the muscle tissue is damaged from your last workout and needs 24-48+ hours to recover before you challenge them again.
.
📍Sometimes, doing a *light* workout for a muscle group that is still sore after 48+ hrs of rest can help relieve soreness for a period of time! BUT another option that I personally favor when I’m very sore: doing some type of cardio in place of a weightlifting workout, running, stair master, a bodyweight HIIT circuit ect while I’m sore has been what works best for me! Puts LESS stress on the muscles than my normal weightlifting session would, but still gets my heart rate up and makes me work!💪🏼💦

Training arms solely is not an effective or efficient use of your time, especially because alike me students are always busy. My top tip if to add training arms to another day, adding a few sets here and there, whilst they are still funky fresh and ready to go. #ArmGrowth ⁣
I know that arms are the man’s main ego to train, however its all about the balance and incorporating them into different routines. I grow my arms through compound exercises (pull ups), these are a fun exercise to do as you don’t even need to be in the gym to do them!⁣

Well I didn't. Get off my back. Anyway, as requested by you guys, here's a quick one on tricep dips!

This is a really tough bodyweight exercise and a difficult one to go straight into. A lot of gyms these days will have assisted dip machines, which will provide some assistance in each rep, effectively making you lighter. If you're new to dips, I'd suggest starting there, or by assisting yourself with bands, and building yourself up to bodyweight.

This is an alpha af exercise so start working towards it and getting into your routines!

Grateful and celebrating the little things. Ok SO this page originally started as something I made when I went abroad to post pictures of all the pasta I ate on. Ok SO this page originally started as something I made when I went abroad to post pictures of all the pasta I ate on. I then decided to make this into a nutrition-related instagram because food is literally all I think about and it aligns with my career path. I know this is not huge but I haven’t hit these numbers for a while....
.
Saturdays are my upper body power (strength) day where everything is anywhere from 3-8 reps depending on the exercise. .
And I’m slowly trying to ⬆️ my strength and go ⬆️in these weights. 🙌🏻
So I was pretty excited that I got 135 today! .
👉🏻It feels so good to lift heavy like this and to feel strong. It seems like so many women shy away from this and I encourage you to try it one day a week! As long as your form is good and you are sufficiently warmed up it’s OK to go for a weight that you can only lift 3-5 times.
🚨👉🏻I would suggest a spotter tho !! .
Now obviously I don’t do this every time I train because I don’t want to fry my CNS every work out or my joints ☺️and that’s why I do a hybrid program of strength and hypertrophy (8-12 rep range) the majority of the time. .

Ps... went for a 3rd.... failed miserably !🙈😂. That happens 🤷🏻‍♀️ •

If you’ve been weight training for a while you might find that you notice a decrease in your gains. The term ‘plateau’ refers to a sudden decrease in noticeable results and is common with strength and endurance training. BUT, do not stress 🌈 There are many ways of ensuring that a training program remains effective. If you’re experiencing these issues than you may benefit from increasing the intensity of your workouts and/or mixing up training methods. Here are some ideas! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Video one - SUPER SETS: a form of training where you move quickly from one exercise to a separate exercise without taking a break. Supersets are not only a way to save time but they place emphasis on stamina. They challenge you and are a great way to add stress to the body! For example, 10 reps of lat pull followed by 10 reps of straight arm cable pull down. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Video two: NEGATIVE/ECCENTRIC TRAINING: this technique allows you to push your muscle past it’s normal point of failure. You would focus solely on the DOWNWARD force exerted on the muscle. For example, jumping up into the top position of a pull up and slowly lowering yourself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

◾️Squats. Take a wider stance, point your feet outward, add a resistance band and two small plates to focus the weight in your heels ◾️Leg press. Place your feet higher and take a wider stance. Push through your heels. I like to lift my toes slightly so that I can focus all the weight on my heels.

I prefer the elliptical because it is easier on my joints and I burn more calories per minute. .
When you do cardio try to burn more calories to get a more effective workout in less time by increasing your intensity (going a little faster)

🚫Do not go from not doing any cardio to doing an hour of cardio a day. Start with 10-20minutes 3x a week and gradually increase.

I ALWAYS perform compound lifts at the beginning of my workout followed by isolation exercises - and these 4 are perfect. I did 4 sets of each movement and went quite heavy for the first two, meaning lower rep. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Video one: Cable face pull for shoulders. I wanted to try going heavier on this one so I sat down whilst doing it. On my heavier sets I did find myself using momentum - I usually always say form over weight but in this case I wanted to hit a max... and I did hehe 💘 when performing this exercise lighter however, be sure to control the movement and tempo. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Video two: Single-arm cable front raise for shoulders. You can use a stirrup handle for this - raising it until a little over shoulder height. Again I wanted to try going heavier on this - but control and tempo is key. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

today’s workout made my arms feel like noodles🤕 i decided to incorporate pushups into my workout because lifting weights is cool and all but sometimes i forget body weight exercises can still kick my ass🤕

-dumbbell pullovers
-skull crushers x push-up superset
-arnold press
-close grip bench press
-tricep push-ups
try and notice (not rly for the bench press bc you can’t see it) that my feet are up off the ground for the dumbbell bench press and skull crushers! that’s to engage your core to stabilize and keep your body straight!

long time no post! been meaning to but i wanted to post my makeup tutorial on my IGTV and i’m having some technical issues so i’ll need to sort that out🤷🏻‍♀️ BUTT today was leg day (lol get it... butt) and i had someone there to film some fun (??) weighted box jumps🙂

This was my last set of incline dumbbell presses amidst a pretty intense push day.
•
These have always been my personal favorite move for chest, especially since I lag a bit in the upper chest department, so I find it best to prioritize building strength on incline moves.
•
In addition to the form points displayed above, when doing these:
•
👉🏼 Keep your wrists strong and fists pointed UP, not BACK (or at least do so as best you can)
•
👉🏼 Don't push forwards, backwards, or too far in or out. The point of weight is to add more resistance to GRAVITY, so logically, you really only need to move the weight up and down
•
👉🏼 And last but most certainly not least, use an appropriate weight. I'd say that if you're using this as a major strength movement, pick a weight you can hit for a few sets of 6-8 reps. If it's being used as more of a mid-workout thing, probably use a weight you can hit for a few sets of 8-10, or even 10-12.

This was my last set of incline dumbbell presses amidst a pretty intense push day.

These have always been my personal favorite move for chest, especially since I lag a bit in the upper chest department, so I find it best to prioritize building strength on incline moves.

In addition to the form points displayed above, when doing these:

👉🏼 Keep your wrists strong and fists pointed UP, not BACK (or at least do so as best you can)

👉🏼 Don't push forwards, backwards, or too far in or out. The point of weight is to add more resistance to GRAVITY, so logically, you really only need to move the weight up and down

•sorry I didn’t get to finish the video I went in to get water and a came out and I’m was super windy and there was thunder🙄so I just worked with the clips I already had 
but anyway now for the steps⬇️
•
STEP 1 STRETCH-stretch you ankles and legs/splits (especially middle split)
STEP 2 SKILL-The skills you will need are cartwheel,middle spilt(optional but helpful) and one handed cartwheel (also optional) and dive/pop cartwheel
STEP 3 DRILLS-start by practicing dive cartwheels,pop cartwheels and running cartwheels.
STEP 4 TIPS-Some tips for when you try your aerial,remember to kick hard of he ground and try to set up!
STEP 5 AERIAL OFF A HIGHER SURFACE- personally this never helped me but some people find it useful so go ahead and try that:)
STEP 6 lower your surface as you go till flat ground(if you didn’t do step 5 then just keep practicing the dive/pop cartwheels kicking hard and setting up
STEP 7 GO FOR IT-Just try your aerial it’s ok to fail,I recommend recording your self to see what your doing wrong,if you can’t stop putting your hands down try holding something if it doesn’t work, it means your probably not going high enough, another common thing is your just not flexible enough the middle split does really help for this skill:)DM me if you have any more questions

Auf der linken Seite des Bildes erkennst du, dass die Ellbogen sich viel zu weit hinten befinden. Die Hantel wird aus dieser Position heraus nicht nur über den Kopf, sondern oftmals schräg vor den Körper nach oben gedrückt. Die Position der Arme erinnert eher an ein extremes Schrägbankdrücken und belastet dementsprechend stärker die obere Brust.
✅ Rechts: Richtige Ausgangsposition
Auf der rechten Seite des Bildes befinden sich die Unterarme senkrecht zum Boden. Dadurch kann die Brust nicht so viel mitarbeiten und somit stehen die Schultern vermehrt im Fokus.

1️⃣ Banded leg press superset with barbell squats x 4 sets ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣ Barbell reverse pulse lunges x 4 sets - this was the first time I had done these properly and OH MY 🔥 try it, try it plsssss!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Das Latziehen, oder auch lat pull down genannt, ist eine super Übung um deinen Latissimus ordentlich zu trainieren. In Bezug auf diese Übung bekomme ich häufig die Frage gestellt: Wohin soll ich bei dieser Übung überhaupt ziehen? Zur Brust oder zum Nacken?
💡Generell gibt es keinen großen Unterschied bezüglich des Muskelaufbaus. Bei beiden Varianten wird der musculus latissimus dorsi ziemlich gut aktiviert. Jedoch gibt es einen wichtigen Unterschied, warum der Zug in den Nacken unbedingt vermieden werden sollte: Das Schultergelenk, sowie die Halswirbelsäule wird bei dieser Bewegung stark belastet und das Verletzungsrisiko wird erhöht. Das Latziehen vor die Brust ist allgemein viel gelenkschonender und somit gesünder, denn es handelt sich hierbei um eine natürlichere Bewegung als bei dem Zug zum Nacken.
