Lundi, douce énergie ! ☁️⚡️

Pour bien commencer la semaine mais aussi chacune de mes journées je prépare du granola maison et sans gluten. Je ne sais pas si vous le savez mais je ne mange plus de gluten depuis que j’ai réalisé que c’était en partie la cause de mon acné (adieu boutons et bonjour peau de pêche 🍑). . 
Cette recette de granola est réconfortante avec son bon goût de cannelle et parfaite pour faire le plein d’énergie. J’utilise des flocons d’avoine sans gluten (on en trouve en magasin bio) mais vous pouvez très bien faire ce granola avec des flocons d’avoine classiques. .
Préchauffer le four à 180°C. 
Mélanger 250g de flocons d’avoine avec des noisettes concassées, des amandes entières, des graines de courge, 2 cas d’huile de noix de coco fondue, 20 mL de sirop d’érable (facultatif) et de la cannelle (c’est vous qui choisissez la quantité de noisettes et d’amande, personnellement j’en mets beaucoup haha😋). Laisser au four pendant 20 minutes en remuant à mi-cuisson. 
Laisser refroidir et transvaser dans un joli pot en verre avec de belles étiquettes. Moi j’adore 🤗

Vous pouvez aussi ajouter des graines de lin, de tournesol, de chia, de la muscade, du chocolat noir … Ajoutez le chocolat concassé une fois le granola bien refroidi (sinon ça fond, ça colle au joli pot qui devient crado et c’était pas le crunchy gourmand que j’aurai voulu …) 😉
. 
Et voilà, vous n’avez plus qu’à vous servir un grand bol de granola avec du lait d’amande et déguster tout ça tranquillou dans le canapé près d’une jolie bougie pour recharger vos batteries, en douceur ! 😌

Guten Abend 💪🏼Ihr habt abgestimmt und die Mehrheit wollte es. Et Voilà! Hier folgt nun das Rezept vom Protein-Oreo-Cheescake (inspiriert von @philippkoop & @zivafitnessnation), den @mimi_lewan und ich heute gebacken haben. 🍰 .

Ihr braucht dazu:
🔻500g Magerquark
🔻250g Griechischer Joghurt (0% Fett)
🔻60g Vanille Whey (wir haben das von @bodyandfitde benutzt)
🔻etwas Zitronenabrieb 🍋 🔻3 Eier
🔻7 Oreo Kekse

➡ Alle Zutaten miteinander vermengen und in eine Backform (die ihr vorher mit Backpapier ausgelegt habt) geben. Oreo Kekse zerkleinern und über den Teig verteilen. Nun den Kuchen bei 180 Grad auf Umluft 40 Minuten lang backen. Und fertig ist der leckere Kuchen. 😊

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗢𝗞 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀... Social media often gives the impression that everyone else is having the time of their life... And sometimes it can make you feel pretty damn lonely.

We can feel like we are achieving less than everyone else.

That everyone is in better shape.

More travelled.

That they have perfect relationships.

The problem is we see it everyday so we unconsciously judge ourselves based on something that isn’t real.

An unachievable standard.

Just know that whatever your feeling right now.

Be it sadness, frustration, depression, anxiety... We ALL face these emotions.

Everyone has emotional seasons.

Without fail, there are times every year where I question things and myself.

Where I feel like what I’m doing isn’t good enough.

Where I struggle to find meaning.

Where the world just isn’t as bright, perhaps because I have worries and insecurities to face.

But there’s one thing that helps me through this more than anything.

Acceptance.

We are meant to experience an array of emotions.

You can’t feel joy without sometimes feeling sadness.

You can’t feel achievement without hardship and sometimes failure. 
And it’s ok, accepting these feelings is part and parcel of being human allows us to move through them... Rather than resisting them, holding onto them and dwelling on them... It’s in those times I also find making your health a priority hugely beneficial... ✔️ Meditating
✔️Exercising to get out of your head and into your body
✔️Getting good quality sleep
✔️Eating more nutritious foods
✔️Walking and give yourself headspace.

So if this is you right now, or it’s just been a rough day.

It’s ok, whether it seems like it or not, you are not alone.

And like all seasons they pass on leaving room for a brighter one to emerge.

This week is about generosity.
•
Generosity is more than the outward kindness of a person who always seems to be giving, whether it be coffee for the office or personal gifts.
•
The Second Vatican Council tells us in “Gaudium et Spes” that man “cannot fully find himself except through a sincere gift of self”. •
Holding back from giving or even doing the tedious work of getting to know ourselves hinders our ability to remember the relationship between the two, knowledge and gift. We can’t know without giving and we can’t give without knowing.
•
Authentically living a generous life means to give when we have nothing. Freely abandoning all the preconceived notions of what we thought generosity looked like. •
Simply give because of the overflow of generosity from our Father.
•

I ended up in Canary Wharf last week for my internship, and figured I had to stop at @thevurgerco once I got off! I ordered the classic burger, mac & cheese, and an Oreo shake. Everything was so so good!! The burger was great and full of flavors, and the shake was unreal!! The mac & cheese was one of my favorites I’ve ever had. I’ve noticed that the vegan mac & cheese in London is so much better than in the US, and this was no exception! I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in London.

Chicken Satay Skewer Bowls, with soy Pak choy and steamed rice 🍗 🍚 🥜 – DOUBLE TAP if this is a bit of you! I love peanut butter and I love Asian flavours so this dish is deffo a bit of me – it’s a great healthy dinner but as you can see it’s also a great little canapé if you serve the skewers with the dipping sauce on the side – either way it’s a tidy little dish and you should make it! 🤩😍😜

•1/2 lime’s worth of lime juice

•2 tbsp curry powder
•1 tbsp ground garlic
•1 tbsp ground ginger
•1 tbsp Sriracha
•250g basmati rice
•2-3 heads of Pak Choi

1️⃣of using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 15 minutes. This will stop them burning on the grill.
2️⃣In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, lime juice, honey, curry powder, garlic, ginger and Sriracha sauce. Set a small bit of sauce aside for dipping.
3️⃣Cut up the chicken breasts into thin strips and then mix the chicken strips into the marinade. Let the chicken marinate as long as possible but it’s not essential as the flavour is strong 💪🏻 4️⃣Weave the chicken onto skewers, and then grill in the oven or on a griddle pan for 4-5 minutes per side.
5️⃣Chop up and wash the Pak Choi bycutting off the bottom end about 1cm up and then breaking apart each leaf. Add to the griddle pan in a drop of sesame oil then splash with a bit of soy sauce, a tsp of garlic powder and a tsp a ginger powder and cook for about  6 minutes until soft – stir to stop burning.
6️⃣In a separate pan boil the rice and once it is ready, drain and return to the pan and immediately cover with the lid. Give it a shake and let sit in the steam for 10 minutes.
7️⃣Serve in a bowl with the pak choi and rice and a wedge of lime, alternatively on a platter with a small dipping bowl. ✌🏻

Selfmade feta cheese oat patties with cottage cheese and veggies 🌽🥕🍅🥒 I know the patties look a bit burned but it was the first time I made them haha🙊

I often have the same: porridge or cookie dough with nut butter and fruit💞

What’s your favorite post-workout meal?? I went for an early run this morning, not my usual schedule but it fit better today 🏃🏼‍♀️ Then i refuelled with a big bowl of blueberry/ banana/ vanilla protein nice cream, topped with fruits, pb & homemade granola (lots more on the side of course) 🍓🍌🍒
