❔Do you ever have those moments where you pause, step back, and look at your life from another angle? Well, that happened to me this morning.
This morning my fiance took my 8 year old to the airport so that he could go visit his bio dad- this was the first time I didn't do the airport trip. Instead, I stayed home with baby J (airport germs and such) and my heart broke a little more than usual. I only had half of my babies... One part of my heart was temporarily gone and I was snuggled up with the other. .
But it was in this moment that I was able to step back and actually SEE the journey I was on... It's amazing how much can change in a year.
🔹14 months ago I got engaged 🔹 6 months ago we moved to a new part of Colorado and into a brand new house which meant finding a new school for my son (he had been with me at school since he was 4).
🔹5 weeks ago baby J was born and my son became a big brother.
🔹My fiance an I also decided on two huge career shifts. He took on a position at a new company and I would take some time away from my career to stay home with the baby (which was probably one of the more difficult decisions I've made in a while- I can explain why in another post). 👇🏻
So much change so fast can make a Type A planner like me a little crazy (yes, the house isn't decorated, yes, I'm lacking or organization in almost every room, yes, I can't get into a solid routine yet), but I'm trying to slow down and embrace the journey one moment at a time💛
