Front Rack Holds.

Here is @nathan.zanella performing a front rack hold with 160kg for 10 secs (he went heavier than this). I usually add these in as an accessory exercise as a way to develop a strong front rack in order to jerk big weights, it's also a great core challenger.

I also typically program these leading into a competition as you are able to really overload on this exercise and go much heavier than what you can actually jerk, the effect this has on the CNS is feeling heavy weights being carried on the body. Ever stand up from a heavy clean and think 'damn this weight feels so heavy right now how am I supposed to jerk this'? Well the idea is that if you have been doing front rack holds at a much heavier weight than you are expected to clean + jerk then on comp day it won't feel so heavy and give you that extra bit of confidence before you go for the jerk. If your CNS has felt 160kg + leading into a comp, 140kg won't feel so bad! My athletes love this affect and how it makes them feel for lifting!

Would ya look at that! A bs pr of 100kg (220lbs) hang sn+snatch with hookgrip πŸ˜‚. In the morning deadlifts felt better with 210kg (462lbs) for 5x4 and 2x3 for snatch grip deads at 150kg (330lbs) with a pause below and above the knee.

Havent posted in a while because i been grinding by myself, MAKING MYSELF BETTER EVERYDAY (also it was mostly mobility and light weight reps and me squatting with a weightless bar to try and keep my technique together, and aint nobody care about that). Anywhooo heres a PR split jerk at 295 lbs. I got all excited because my roommate was supposed to be watching but hes a snake so I just got a β€œdont drop that on your foot” from the 80 year old man standing next to me. Thanks pops, appreciate the coaching β€’

This WOW Woman is a force to be reckoned with!  @killa_miller1 is an absolute animal in the gym as an athlete but is also a Nutrition and CrossFit coach helping other women own their wellness! 
I met KC almost two years ago at the CF L2 training @crossfitomaha.  We sat next to each other and although she was polite and may I say reserved, we hit it off!  I asked her to be my partner for the workout, and it was at that time that I was taken aback.  I’m not easily impressed by nature, but I was about to be blown away.  The second part of the workout was to work up to a 3 rep heavy hang squat clean.  KC picked up the barbell and I think my jaw was sitting on the floor.  I had NEVER been around a women who could clean so beautifully, flawlessly, effortlessly and with such raw talent.  Needless to say she caught the attention of other CF Staff, such as @lindsmariea and soon enough they were all over in our area watching her.  I think at that time I kind of just stood back and even stopped lifting because I knew I would learn more by watching her, then actually cleaning at that point. This training  was prior to her even becoming a competitive weightlifter, so it was clear the talent was there at that time!
We have stayed in contact and it has been uplifting and powerful to still have people like Kay Cee in my corner.  She is the type of woman you want to surround yourself with, because you will better yourself, and strive to rise to the level of discipline she has regarding her overall wellness.
