#transformationtuesday I know how discouraging it can be hitting a plateau, I’ve hit a couple now. It’s frustrating, it’s annoying feeling like you’ve done all this hard work & are not getting results. You ARE making progress, even if it doesn’t seem like it. It’s a LONG process, it’s a CONSTANT process. It doesn’t happen overnight, it takes time and consistency. Just because the scale isn’t moving doesn’t mean you aren’t making progress. I know it’s hard but you just have to keep pushing forward and your body will REWARD you. Progress not perfection, ALWAYS 💪🏻🙏 TRUST THE PROCESS.

And those moments where you don’t quite believe it even though people telly our everyday, multiple times a day, until you see it as you pass by the mirror or snap a selfie while chilling on the couch cos you feel your collar bones sneaking through but then you notice you’re getting definition in your cheeks 🤣 I never even thought I’d ever lose my triple chin. Over the years I often said I wished I was a certain weight. That magic number changed over time… but it always hung over my head…it was the ultimate prize… and always just out of reach. But, when I really thought about why I wanted to lose weight and what my goals were…I realized they had so little to do with some random number on my bathroom scale. I said I wanted to be “xx” pounds… but what I really meant was… I want to feel confident and strong. I want to enjoy a day with my girls without being self conscious of what others are thinking of me. I want to believe my husband when he says I’m beautiful. I want to celebrate my life. I want to love myself. And those desires shouldn’t be held hostage by any goal. Because, something that holds that much power over my happiness is not a goal… it is a prison. Aim your sights higher and let your goals be made up of your hopes and dreams…. Instead of being held prisoner by some made up idea of what the perfect body weighs ♥️

⚠️Stepping WAY outside of my comfort zone posting this. ONE, I’m half naked, TWO, I’m looking like a hot mess in both. No makeup, crazy hair...But just look at that SMILE. 😃 I just completed my 8 week program but wanted to show you the OVERALL progress I’ve made in the last four months. 120 days. 📆 It’s so crazy to look back and SEE all the changes my body has gone through! 🦋 I wasn’t UNHAPPY with how I looked, but felt constantly bloated, tired 😴 and spent way too much time focusing on everyone and everything else besides me. What’s even crazier is that there is only about a 10 POUND difference in these photos. T E N. Do not let the scale rule your journey or derail your progress. Take photos. Just finished the most amazing arm workout I’ve had in such a long time👏🏻!! Save this one for later if your looking for a good arm pump💪🏻🔥!! I also did a little core work too!.

Warmup: Bench Dips-3 sets til failure.

Tricep pushdowns w/straight bar SS 
Reverse grip tricep pushdown w/straight bar 3x10-15.
.
Single arm tricep cable kickback 3x10-12 each arm SS overhead tricep extension w/rope 3x10-12.
.
Barbell skull crushers 3x10-12 SS standing alternating dumbbell hammer curls 3x20.
.
concentration curls 4x10-12 each arm..
.
Rope hammer curls 3x12-15 SS single arm bicep cable curls w/handles 3x10-12 each.
.
Machine preacher 21’s 3x21, one drop set til failure.
.
CORE:
Cable crunches (left side/middle/right side).

Yes I was flexible more than 20 years ago... then you probably already know the story... life brought me in another direction... master degree, PhD, work, career, long hrs in the office, sedentary life, business travel, no time for me, for any physical activity... My body was not my body anymore. I felt I had to do something for it ❤️ and I’m still working on it... and I will keep working 💪🏻😊 forever 🥰

PHYSIQUE UPDATE | 3.2.19 ~ Day 2 of my MINI CUT. My goals for this mini cut are to 1️⃣ Reestablish my habits of consuming adequate protein for muscle hypertrophy by tracking my food in @MyFitnessPal #flexibledieting #iifym. 2️⃣ Have a current goal that motivates me in the gym to drive muscle retention and progressive overload. 3️⃣ Loose 5 lbs of fat over the course of 4-6 weeks. 4️⃣ After the 4-6 weeks mini cut - begin a reverse diet by slowly increasing my calories back up to maintenence to increase my metabolic rate, appetite and also to begin adding lean muscle mass.

Before my Mini cut, I was eating a lot of food (2500-2600 calories), but didn’t have the appetite to enjoy it. I also mentioned in an earlier post I was starting to slack on my off season goals. I feel this mini cut/reverse diet cycle will help me get back on track. Though my short term goal is fat loss, my end goal is to kick start my goals, metabolism, appetite, and reestablish good habits that will allow me to stick to my goals.

We are all so busy making a life, that sometimes we forget to actually live it. 
Stop making excuses, start MAKING time! .
I have four children, one of which is 6 months old.😊
My husband works 80 hours a week and is only home for about eight days per month.🙄
I am a stay-at-home mom, a full-time student, and a two-time business owner.👀
Plus, there is trying to manage my home, finances, and the children's activities; school, sports, appointments, etc. (Mind you, my three older children each go to a different school....) 🤦
Is it hard to find time for myself or my fitness?💪 Absolutely! What isn't hard in life? 🤔
I have to be organized; keep a calendar of events, plan out/prepare for my day or week (ahead of time), make lists, and plan for the unexpected. 👌
Absolutely nothing in this world is impossible; as long as you believe in yourself, prepare, work hard, and stay consistent! 😉
P.s) I have to give a huge shout out to Beachbody's Performance Line! My results have changed dramatically since I started using their Pre-workout and Post-workout supplemental drinks. It gives me energy which boosts my endurance; I am able to workout longer and harder. Plus, my muscles recover faster, allowing me to keep going everyday! (Aside from rest days, which are crucial for your health and any muscle gains.)

My husband works 80 hours a week and is only home for about eight days per month.🙄
I am a stay-at-home mom, a full-time student, and a two-time business owner.👀
Plus, there is trying to manage my home, finances, and the children's activities; school, sports, appointments, etc. (Mind you, my three older children each go to a different school....) 🤦
Is it hard to find time for myself or my fitness?💪 Absolutely! What isn't hard in life? 🤔
I have to be organized; keep a calendar of events, plan out/prepare for my day or week (ahead of time), make lists, and plan for the unexpected. 👌
Absolutely nothing in this world is impossible; as long as you believe in yourself, prepare, work hard, and stay consistent! 😉
P.s) I have to give a huge shout out to Beachbody's Performance Line! My results have changed dramatically since I started using their Pre-workout and Post-workout supplemental drinks. It gives me energy which boosts my endurance; I am able to workout longer and harder. Plus, my muscles recover faster, allowing me to keep going everyday! (Aside from rest days, which are crucial for your health and any muscle gains.)

Leaning out quite alright after I was sick for a week lol. So the approach I will be taking this summer had to change. As I continue to play soccer I can put on size but it has to be gradual. I cannot go and gain 10 lbs quick with a full bulk and keep my speed and agility in the field. Like my Dad said, "Te ves lento y pesado en la cancha"
So I'll continue to with the lean bulk gaining as much muscle possible while maintaining my body fat within a manageable range. This way I can adjust to the lbs being added and maintain my performance in the soccer field. 
Balance. Compromise. Although I would want to grow a bit more, patience will be key here if I want to keep these two passions of mine.
